Karimunjawa Island; The Amazing’s side from North Java

Karimunjawa is one from nine National Marine Park in Indonesia; this is because Karimunjawa has amazing underwater scenery. Karimunjawa contain from 27 islands, only five islands are populated and the others is an empty island. Karimunjawa located in North Sea of Jepara city, central Java, it’s around 4 until 6 hours with ship from Kartini’s Harbor, Jepara, or just 30 minutes used plane from Semarang airport.

There are five kind of ecosystem in this Island, like corals, seaweed, mangrove tree, beach forest, and tropical forest. And then in the underwater we can meet many biotas that live in there. There are 69 species of hard coral and 353 species of fish. We can see them by snorkeling; this is favorite activity for tourists that visit Karimunjawa. We also can visit every island in around Karimunjawa, like Menjangan Island, Cemara Island, Kemujan Island, etc. The most of beach in these islands have white sandy that stretch along the shoreline.
Beside the underwater beauty we also can see the shark conservation, where we can see many shark live in there. Shark conservation placed on Menjangan Island. We also can see and play with this predator fish, of coursly by the professional guide. The name from Karimunjawa is take from “kremun” word, in Indonesia its mean ‘samar’ or dimly (English), this is because this island is far away from Java, and sometimes we can see and the other time was not.
Karimunjawa is not famous like Bali or Bunaken, but this place has many beatiful places under the sea. It is appropriate for the traveler who like underwater adventures.
